MemryX and Lenovo Expand Edge AI Work in Saudi Arabia

MemryX signed a memorandum of understanding with Lenovo to expand sovereign edge AI systems across Saudi Arabia, the company said in a press release on September 15. The agreement covers infrastructure, industrial operations, smart cities, and video management.

The system combines Lenovo's ThinkEdge SE455 V3 rugged edge server with MemryX's Cascade 100P AI accelerator. It processes video and sensor data on site to reduce latency, retain local control of data, and limit reliance on centralized AI infrastructure.

Existing deployments include construction safety analytics, protective equipment compliance, safety event detection, port environment compliance, and site monitoring through existing cameras. The companies will pursue more customer deployments, validate the platform through a Lenovo Center of Excellence, develop solutions through Lenovo AI Innovation, and explore rack scale server configurations for computer vision inference.
