Lumeris and Google Cloud Partner to Tackle U.S. Primary Care Shortage
Lumeris and Google Cloud have announced a partnership to address the primary care shortage in the United States. In a press release, the companies revealed plans to build Lumeris' Tom™ platform on Google Cloud technology, aiming to improve access to high-quality primary care.
The collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between the annual demand for care, which exceeds 2.5 billion hours, and the available 500 million hours. Tom, an AI-powered Primary Care as a Service™ solution, will be integrated into clinical workflows to autonomously execute actions that expand capacity and reduce administrative burdens.
Google Cloud's AI capabilities will be combined with Lumeris' primary care expertise to enhance operations and patient outcomes. The partnership will also focus on converting fragmented data from electronic health records and other sources into actionable intelligence, thereby improving care coordination and chronic disease management.
