iQIYI Premieres China's First Full-Length AIGC Film

On July 23, announced in a press release, iQIYI premiered Mystic Tales: The Spider Lady's Vendetta, China's first AIGC internet feature film released under an Internet Drama and Film Distribution License. The over 60-minute film was released exclusively on iQIYI and iQIYI International.

Co-produced with Beijing Dream Big Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., the film was created using AI tools across the full production cycle. The team of more than 20 handled creative development, prompt engineering, visual asset generation, AI-assisted redrawing, 4K output, and post-production within a complete AIGC workflow.

The story follows a paper master with no memory of her past who navigates a realm between the living and the spirit worlds to uncover lost truths. iQIYI stated it will continue developing its AI content ecosystem to support filmmakers and expand creative possibilities in storytelling.
