ID.me and Flexpa Partner to Strengthen Health Data Access and Security

October 29, 2025
ID.me and Flexpa have announced a partnership to improve patient access to medical records, reduce AI-driven fraud, and support the CMS framework for healthcare interoperability.

ID.me and Flexpa have announced a partnership to make it easier and safer for patients to access and share their medical records, according to a press release. The collaboration aims to replace outdated processes, reduce AI-driven fraud, and align with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) vision for healthcare interoperability.

ID.me provides a digital identity wallet trusted by over 154 million users, including 78 million verified to federal authentication standards. Patients can verify their identity once and use the same credential across multiple healthcare systems. Flexpa connects patient-consented claims and clinical records through a single API that integrates with payer and provider networks covering more than 260 million individuals.

The joint solution combines ID.me’s reusable digital credential with Flexpa’s claims aggregation API, enabling patients to verify their identity, consent to data sharing, and deliver standardized records to healthcare organizations. The companies said the integration will reduce fraud and streamline access to patient data while supporting the CMS Interoperability Framework launching later this year.
