IBM and Pearson Partner to Build AI-Powered Learning Tools
IBM and Pearson have announced a global partnership to develop new AI-powered learning tools for businesses, public organizations, and educational institutions, according to a press release. The collaboration aims to deliver personalized and adaptive learning experiences using IBM's watsonx Orchestrate and watsonx Governance platforms.
As part of the partnership, IBM will assist Pearson in building a custom AI-based learning platform that integrates human expertise with AI assistants and agents. The platform is designed to improve productivity and decision-making while enabling the development of new products and services.
Pearson's enterprise solutions, including Credly for digital credentialing, Faethm for workforce planning, and Pearson Professional Assessments for certification exams, will be incorporated into IBM's customer and employee training programs. The companies also plan to co-develop tools for verifying the capabilities of AI agents to support reliable deployment within organizations.
The partnership positions IBM as Pearson's primary strategic partner for workforce transformation, with both companies aiming to expand access to AI-driven learning and skills development globally.
