IBM and OpenAI Partner on Enterprise AI Deployment
IBM and OpenAI announced a partnership in a press release to add OpenAI models and products to IBM Consulting services for enterprise AI projects.
The partnership will embed OpenAI models such as GPT-5.6, along with Codex and ChatGPT Work, into IBM Consulting Advantage. IBM said the platform combines AI agents, industry assets, and cybersecurity capabilities for consulting delivery.
IBM will create forward deployed units of engineers and consultants trained through the OpenAI Partner Network. These teams will work with clients on complex workflows and regulated environments.
IBM also plans to launch a dedicated OpenAI Practice with thousands of consultants and engineers pursuing advanced certifications through the OpenAI Partner Network. The work will focus on converting legacy operations into AI ready workflows, modernizing applications, developing products, and managing cybersecurity and AI risk.
