Codio Launches AI Literacy Course and Raises $5 Million
Codio has launched an AI Literacy offering for higher education and completed a $5 million strategic growth financing led by Armada Investment, the company announced in a press release.
The curriculum is aligned with the U.S. Department of Labor's AI Literacy framework and uses Codio's "Notice, Test, Verify, Explain and Defend" method. Students work with AI models while faculty can view assignments, AI interactions, and student progress. The platform also integrates with learning management systems including Canvas.
This fall, the University of Tampa will launch a required AI literacy course using Codio's offering after redesigning its required digital literacy curriculum.
Codio said its foundational AI Literacy course is available now, with early access requests open on its website. The company also plans an Applied AI for Business Schools offering that combines AI literacy content, assignments by discipline, and tools for educators.
