IBM has launched a bug bounty program with HackerOne for its Granite AI models, offering up to $100,000 in rewards to identify vulnerabilities.

IBM has launched a bug bounty program in collaboration with HackerOne to enhance the security of its Granite AI models, announced on their website. The program offers up to $100,000 in rewards for identifying vulnerabilities in Granite models deployed in enterprise settings.

The initiative invites researchers to find ways to adversarially attack the Granite models, with the goal of identifying successful jailbreaks and other vulnerabilities. These findings will be used to strengthen the models and develop new security measures. IBM's team of AI policy, safety, security, and governance experts will oversee the program and use the data to improve the alignment of Granite models.

The program will launch with Granite Guardian, an open-source guardrail designed to enhance model security. The Granite and Granite Guardian models are open-sourced under an Apache 2.0 license and are available on platforms like Hugging Face and GitHub. This effort aims to make Granite models more secure and provide the open-source community with insights into AI security challenges.
