HCM Invited to Choose France Summit to Strengthen Taiwan-France Energy Cooperation
HCM, a Taiwan-based manufacturer of lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials, was invited to the ninth annual Choose France Summit held at the Palace of Versailles, announced in a press release. Hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, the event gathered global business leaders to discuss industrial and technological cooperation.
The company’s participation marks its first invitation to the summit and highlights its growing role in Europe’s energy and defense supply chains. HCM emphasized that its LMFP technology, AI powered smart factories, and integrated production solutions address Europe’s focus on energy sovereignty and supply chain resilience. The firm reported recent commercial success, including support for a European maritime group in securing contracts valued at nearly 10 billion US dollars.
HCM Chairman Tony Chen said the company has collaborated with European and US lithium battery manufacturers for over a decade. Their jointly developed LMFP battery technology has passed European defense certifications and is applied in sectors such as national defense, aerospace, and low Earth orbit satellite communications.
Through the Choose France platform, HCM aims to expand partnerships with French industries and promote deeper cooperation between Taiwan and France in advanced materials and smart manufacturing.
