Grab Introduces AI Solutions for Merchants and Drivers

Grab has launched AI Merchant Assistant and AI Driver Companion to enhance productivity for its partners, as announced in a press release.

Grab has launched two new AI solutions, the AI Merchant Assistant and AI Driver Companion, to support its merchant and driver partners, announced in a press release. These tools were unveiled at the inaugural GrabX event and are designed to provide actionable insights and assist with daily tasks.

The AI Merchant Assistant, integrated within the GrabMerchant app, uses Large Language Models to offer tailored insights and recommendations to merchants. It helps small businesses by acting as a 24/7 business advisor, providing suggestions on improving sales and managing tasks like ad campaigns and menu updates.

The AI Driver Companion includes features like AI ride guidance and an AI-assisted voice reporting tool. The ride guidance feature uses real-time data to direct drivers to high-demand areas, while the voice reporting tool allows drivers to verbally update road conditions, enhancing the accuracy of GrabMaps.

These solutions were developed in collaboration with AI research organizations OpenAI and Anthropic, leveraging their latest foundational models to enhance the capabilities of Grab's platform.
