Lightspeed Adds AI and Commerce Tools for Merchants

Lightspeed introduced AI tools, payment features and booking services across its retail, restaurant and golf products.

Lightspeed Commerce Inc. introduced AI tools, payment features and booking services across its retail, restaurant and golf products, as announced in a press release. The additions connect transaction, inventory, advertising and booking data within the company’s commerce platform.

AI Doc Import converts supplier invoices, packing slips and order confirmations into purchase orders. Restaurant operators can use Lightspeed AI to save generated charts as dashboard tiles and reports that update when new transaction data arrives.

Other additions include a ShipStation integration for fulfilling retail orders, Meta Conversions API support for linking digital ads with in store purchases, and Reserve with Google for restaurant bookings. Lightspeed also introduced an 8 inch customer display, mobile payment options and On Deck, which alerts golfers when requested tee times become available.
