Google Unveils Gemini 2.5 AI Model with Enhanced Reasoning

Google has introduced Gemini 2.5, a new AI reasoning model that excels in complex problem-solving and coding tasks, available now in Google AI Studio.

Gemini has introduced its latest AI model, Gemini 2.5, which features advanced reasoning capabilities. Announced on their website, Gemini 2.5 is designed to tackle complex problems by pausing to 'think' before responding. This new model is available in Google AI Studio and the Gemini app for subscribers of the Gemini Advanced plan.

Gemini 2.5 Pro Experimental, the first release in this new model family, is touted as Google's most intelligent AI model to date. It excels in creating visually compelling web apps and agentic coding applications, outperforming previous models and some competitors on several benchmarks. For instance, it scores 68.6% on the Aider Polyglot code editing evaluation, surpassing models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek.

The model also features a 1 million token context window, allowing it to process extensive datasets, with plans to support up to 2 million tokens soon. While Google has not yet disclosed API pricing for Gemini 2.5 Pro, more details are expected in the coming weeks.
