Flex Unveils SmartSense Coolant Distribution Unit for AI and HPC
Flex has introduced the SmartSense Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU), a high-performance liquid cooling solution designed for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) applications, announced in a press release. The SmartSense CDU is an in-rack, liquid-to-liquid system capable of cooling up to 300kW per rack and over 2MW at the row level, eliminating the need for chillers and reducing energy and water consumption.
The CDU is part of a modular portfolio aimed at data centers and colocation providers, offering scalable solutions to manage heat challenges in power-dense environments. Supported by Flex's advanced manufacturing capabilities, the SmartSense CDU enables rapid deployment of liquid cooling infrastructure, ensuring operational integrity and long-term system health through integrated telemetry and diagnostics.
Flex will showcase the SmartSense CDU at the 2025 OCP EMEA Summit in Dublin, highlighting its capabilities to the data center community. Attendees can visit the JetCool booth for demonstrations and attend a session to learn more about this innovative cooling solution.
