Equifax Introduces AI-Powered AML Compliance Solutions
Equifax has introduced new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Solutions that use artificial intelligence to help regulated businesses meet compliance requirements, announced in a press release. The solutions aim to assist financial institutions in screening applicants and monitoring transactions to identify potential money laundering risks.
The platform provides near real-time screening and monitoring of individuals and entities against more than 150 global sanctions and watchlists, as well as 30,000 adverse news sources. It incorporates a proprietary Intelligent Match Engine (IME) that leverages AI and machine learning to improve matching accuracy and reduce false positives.
Equifax’s AML offering includes four modules: Portfolio Monitoring for continuous due diligence, Human Analyst Review for manual verification of alerts, Portfolio Remediation for retrospective reviews, and a Case Management interface for efficient alert handling. The system supports banks, credit unions, payment platforms, brokerages, insurance providers, real estate law firms, and virtual asset service providers in managing AML compliance and reducing regulatory risk.
