EPAM and TGS Deploy Cloud-Based Imaging Platform on AWS for Energy Sector

June 08, 2026
EPAM Systems and TGS have deployed the TGS Imaging AnyWare platform on Amazon Web Services to modernize seismic imaging workflows and enable AI-driven subsurface data operations for energy companies.

EPAM Systems and TGS have deployed the TGS Imaging AnyWare platform on Amazon Web Services, announced in a press release. The collaboration aims to accelerate AI adoption in the energy sector by moving seismic imaging systems to a scalable cloud environment.

TGS has migrated its imaging systems to AWS to gain agility, lower computing costs, and improve performance through elastic cloud infrastructure. The updated platform enables seismic imaging workflows to run faster and more efficiently, supporting quicker decision making for energy companies.

The partnership introduces three main capabilities: Subsurface Data as a Service through the TGS Data Verse platform, cloud-based seismic imaging using AWS Graviton instances, and modular subsurface workflows enabled by EPAM's Energy HPC Orchestrator. Together, these capabilities provide integrated workflows for managing and interpreting large-scale subsurface datasets.

According to the companies, the migration establishes a foundation for AI-enabled energy operations by combining TGS’s geoscience expertise with AWS computing resources and EPAM’s cloud engineering. This approach is designed to modernize data processing and reduce infrastructure costs across exploration and production environments.
