Trooly Raises $20 Million and Launches AI Research Platform for In-Depth Consumer Interviews
Trooly has launched its AI research platform and opened its first public beta in North America, backed by nearly 20 million dollars in seed funding, announced in a press release. The platform enables 45-minute in-depth interviews with consumers worldwide and generates insights comparable to those of senior human researchers.
Trooly’s system includes an intelligent follow-up engine that adjusts each question in real time based on user responses. The company says the platform aims to combine the depth of traditional interviews with the efficiency of automated research, allowing teams to gather nuanced feedback without managing fieldwork or translation logistics.
The platform operates through a four-step workflow: framing the research question, recruiting participants, conducting the interview, and delivering the interactive report. Recruitment draws on a participant pool of 180 million respondents across more than 30 countries.
Trooly’s AI interviewer uses a two-layer reasoning model to generate deeper follow-up questions during conversations. More than 400 teams across sectors including gaming, consumer goods, and manufacturing are already using the software. Public beta access is open in North America, with global availability expected to expand later.
