Envision Tianji Tops ECMWF AI Weather Quest
Envision Energy says its Tianji weather foundation model ranked first overall in the latest AI Weather Quest, according to a company press release. The competition is organized by the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts.
Tianji placed first across all assessed metrics for the 19 to 25 day forecast window, including averaged variables, near surface temperature, mean sea level pressure and precipitation. Nearly 20 teams participated in the competition.
The contest evaluates weekly probabilistic forecasts against subsequent weather observations and updates its leaderboard continuously. Temperature and precipitation are assessed mainly over land grid cells, while mean sea level pressure is evaluated globally. Envision says Tianji also placed on par with Google's WeatherNext2 in the WeatherBench 2 evaluation and won load-forecasting competitions run by China's State Grid and China Southern Power Grid.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
