Clio Reaches $500 Million in Annual Recurring Revenue

Clio has surpassed 500 million US dollars in annual recurring revenue, announced in a press release. The company said the milestone follows continued organic growth, the 1 billion dollar acquisition of vLex, and a 500 million dollar Series G round that valued the company at 5 billion dollars.

Clio’s platform now serves hundreds of thousands of legal professionals across more than 130 countries. Growth has accelerated across all segments, including law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal teams. The company introduced its Intelligent Legal Work Platform in 2025 to unify business and practice management within a single AI powered system.

According to the announcement, Clio has deployed agentic capabilities that allow its AI to execute full legal workflows based on a single instruction, using matter context and relevant documents. This approach has driven the fastest product adoption in the company’s history.

Founded in 2008 by Jack Newton and Rian Gauvreau, Clio now operates from offices in North America, Europe, and Australia. The company stated that it plans to continue investing in AI development as demand for integrated legal platforms grows across the global legal profession.
