HCLTech Posts $3.65 Billion Q1 Revenue and Unveils $370 Million AI Data Center Plan
HCLTech announced in a press release its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting revenue of $3.65 billion, an increase of 3 percent year over year. Revenue in constant currency grew by 2.6 percent. The company recorded its highest first quarter net new bookings at $2.4 billion. Advanced AI revenue reached $171 million, up 10.6 percent quarter over quarter and 62.1 percent year over year in constant currency.
The company also announced a plan to invest up to ₹3,500 crore, approximately $370 million, to develop AI data centers with potential capacity up to 50 megawatts. This initiative will leverage HCLTech's expertise in AI data center design, DevOps, and AI cloud operations.
Services revenue grew 4.2 percent year over year in constant currency, led by IT and Business Services. HCLSoftware reported annual recurring revenue of $1.06 billion, up 2 percent year over year. Geographically, the United States grew 2.9 percent, while Europe was nearly flat and the rest of the world expanded 10.8 percent in constant currency.
Key AI-related contract wins included a global technology major expanding its partnership for an AI Factory program worth over $180 million, and a semiconductor company selecting HCLTech to engineer an AI-enabled chip for future vehicles. The company declared a dividend of ₹12 per share for the quarter and maintained its fiscal year 2027 revenue growth guidance of 1 to 4 percent in constant currency.
