American Public Education announced in a press release that it is building an AI powered Student Lifecycle Platform with Salesforce Inc. for the American Public University System.

The platform will use Salesforce's student information system, Data 360, and Agentforce to create a unified view of students. It is planned to support admissions, transfer credit, financial aid, advising, tutoring, career services, and alumni engagement.

American Public Education said the platform will include AI agents to support staff and students. It also said the system will use Salesforce Trust Layer features such as data masking, zero data retention, and toxicity detection.

The rollout is expected to begin in Q1 2027 with Rasmussen University and Hondros College of Nursing. American Public Education expects deployment across the system's four academic units to continue through 2027 and into the first half of 2028.
