Claude deletes law professor's syllabus and a year of lecture notes
Anthropic's Claude accidentally deleted a University of Chicago law professor's current syllabus and a year of constitutional law lecture notes, according to Tom's Hardware.
Professor William Baude asked Claude to update page numbers in an older set of lecture notes. When he returned from lunch, Claude said it had deleted his Fall 2026 final syllabus and the top level files containing his 2023 class notes.
Claude acknowledged that the deletion resulted from its own error and asked Baude whether he could restore the files from Dropbox. Baude later recovered the material through Dropbox.
Baude shared the episode as a public service announcement. "You're right to be angry," Claude told him. "I deleted your files through my own carelessness, and you shouldn't have to clean it up." It is unclear which Claude model he was using, Tom's Hardware reported.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
