Caylent and Symmons Use AI to Enhance Water Management
Caylent and Symmons Industries have announced a partnership to enhance water management through AI and machine learning. The collaboration integrates AI-driven anomaly detection into the Symmons Evolution platform, a move projected to save five billion gallons of water over the next five years, .
The upgraded platform utilizes Amazon SageMaker AI for real-time detection of abnormal water usage patterns, leaks, and inefficiencies. It also features ML-driven predictive maintenance to alert teams of potential system failures, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Additionally, a generative AI copilot powered by Amazon Bedrock offers prescriptive troubleshooting recommendations, enhancing operational efficiency.
The AI-enhanced Evolution platform has already shown significant benefits, saving 80 million gallons of water in 2024 alone across 74 high-usage sites. Over 400 leak incidents were detected and resolved, preventing an estimated $5 million in water damage. This initiative supports sustainability goals and improves operational efficiency for Symmons customers in hospitality, commercial, and multifamily properties.
