Bloomberg Adds AI Coding Assistant to BQuant
Bloomberg introduced in a press release BQuant Assistant, a conversational AI coding tool built into BQuant Desktop and BQuant Enterprise. Bloomberg Terminal subscribers can use natural language prompts to write code, build applications and analyze financial data.
The assistant generates Python code and Bloomberg Query Language queries, explains existing code, helps debug notebooks and creates code for data visualizations. It can search the BQuant Help Center and draw from example notebooks, libraries and product guides.
BQuant Assistant can insert and run suggested code in the secure BQuant sandbox after receiving user approval. It will be generally available in BQuant Enterprise and enter limited beta in BQuant Desktop at the end of October 2026.
