Bird Secures $450 Million and Revamps Agentic Harness
Bird completed a $450 million debt financing and launched a revamped Agentic Harness for AI agents, according to a company press release. The financing, led by J.P. Morgan, includes a $400 million term loan and a $50 million revolving credit facility.
Capital One, Citi, Silicon Valley Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Flagstar and Huntington also participated. The dividend recapitalization provides liquidity to existing shareholders, including current and former employees who hold equity.
Agentic Harness lets AI agents send messages, place calls, manage email and obtain an eSIM phone plan through Bird's network without custom integrations or human logins. It manages country specific delivery requirements and provider specific inbox access, and supports ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor.
