Axon Expands Public Safety Network with New ALPR Cameras and AI Tools
Axon has announced a series of new products and partnerships to enhance its real-time public safety ecosystem, announced in a press release. The company introduced Axon Outpost and Axon Lightpost, two new fixed Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) cameras, which complement the existing Axon Fleet 3 to provide a comprehensive suite of vehicle recognition solutions. These cameras are designed to capture detailed vehicle attributes, extending real-time intelligence capabilities.
Additionally, Axon has expanded its partner ecosystem through a new Works With Axon certified partner program, which connects third-party cameras to create a more interoperable public safety network. This integration is facilitated through Axon Fusus, enhancing the network's intelligence and interoperability.
Axon also launched Axon Assistant, an AI voice companion available via Axon Body 4, which offers officers hands-free access to real-time translation, policy guidance, and general information. Furthermore, Axon plans to integrate with Ring, allowing Ring customers to share relevant video footage with law enforcement to aid in crime-solving and neighborhood safety.
