LexisNexis Adds AI Video Assistant to Police Reporting System

Field Clarity guides people through submitting photos, videos and scanned information to law enforcement agencies using a smartphone.

LexisNexis Risk Solutions announced in a press release a modernized Desk Officer Reporting System and a new AI guided video assistant called Field Clarity. The company introduced the tools at the 2026 International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in Orlando.

Field Clarity guides people through filing reports on a smartphone. Its conversational interface can prompt users to scan a driver license, capture a vehicle identification number, take photos or record a video of an incident. The submitted material is combined in the report and sent to the law enforcement agency's records management system.

The Desk Officer Reporting System supports more than 200 incident types, which agencies can configure for local needs. LexisNexis says nearly 600 agencies in North America use the system. DORS with Field Clarity is available through the LexisNexis Command Center.
