AWS and Meta Launch AI Startup Accelerator

AWS and Meta have announced a new accelerator program to support U.S. startups using Meta's Llama AI models, offering $200,000 in AWS credits and engineering support.

Amazon Web Services and Meta Platforms, Inc. have announced a joint initiative to support early-stage U.S. startups through a new accelerator program. This six-month program is designed to assist 30 selected startups in developing applications using Meta's Llama AI models.

The program offers participants up to $200,000 in AWS credits, along with technical support from AWS and Meta engineers. Startups in the Seed to Series B stages are eligible to apply, with selections based on the impact and technical strength of their projects. Applications are open until August 8, with final selections to be announced by August 29.

This collaboration reflects Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's ambition to position the company as a leader in AI, as he continues to invest heavily in AI infrastructure and talent acquisition. The partnership aims to enhance the adoption of Llama models by providing startups with the necessary resources to innovate and build AI solutions effectively.
