Meta and Partners Develop Commerce Standard for AI Agents

Oct 7, 2026
Meta, Walmart, Stripe and other companies are developing an open standard for communication between AI agents and businesses during online transactions.

Meta, Walmart, Stripe, Sierra, Genesys, Rocket, NiCE and Decagon are developing an open standard for communication between AI agents and businesses, according to TechCrunch. The protocol will focus on transactions between agents during online commerce.

Personal AI agents can encounter blocks while browsing products, booking travel or completing purchases. Some restrictions are intentional, while others result from existing bot detection systems. Walmart said blocks affecting Meta's Muse were not intentional and may occur when human verification checks fail.

Amazon blocks Muse from its retail site, while Delta does not currently support outside agents shopping for or booking flights through its digital services. Yelp permits automated traffic only when an agent accesses its content through a paid data licensing agreement. eBay restricts unauthorized agents and activities such as automated scraping and model training.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
