November 10, 2025
Arcfield’s Strategic Technology Consulting (STC) received the Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Ferguson Jr. Systems Engineering Excellence Award from the National Defense Industrial Association for its AI-driven systems engineering work with the U.S. Department of War.

Arcfield’s Strategic Technology Consulting (STC) has received the Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Ferguson Jr. Systems Engineering Excellence Award from the National Defense Industrial Association, announced in a press release. The award recognizes STC’s advancements in systems engineering practices supporting national defense.

STC was honored for its work modernizing how the U.S. Department of War designs and manages complex systems. By aligning model-based systems engineering with acquisition processes, STC’s digital approach has reduced coordination cycles by about 80%, identified design issues months in advance, and generated cost savings of up to $5 million per workstream.

The company’s Intelligent MBSE™ solution applies artificial intelligence to automate and accelerate the design of defense systems. This integration of AI and automation has improved decision-making, enhanced collaboration, and strengthened system design data reliability for government agencies.

The award was presented during the 28th Annual Systems and Mission Engineering Conference held in Tampa, Florida, from October 27–30, 2025.
