Amazon Launches Alexa+ Early Access in India

Amazon has launched Alexa+ Early Access in India with support for English, Hindi and Hinglish. The generative AI assistant is free during Early Access and stays free for Prime plan members afterward.

Amazon announced on its website that Alexa+ Early Access is now available in India. The generative AI assistant supports English, Hindi, and Hinglish, including switching languages within a sentence.

Alexa+ can manage schedules, control compatible smart home devices, send emails, recommend and order products, and play content from services including Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, Prime Video, and Netflix. Amazon plans to add integrations for restaurant reservations, food delivery, travel bookings, event reservations, and home services.

Alexa+ is free during Early Access. Customers can request access online or receive immediate access by buying an eligible Echo or Fire TV device. After Early Access it stays free for Prime plan members. Prime Lite members, Prime Shopping Edition members and non-Prime customers can take it as a standalone subscription at ₹2,000 per month or through a Prime plan.
