Valens and onsemi Develop Integrated Automotive Camera Sensor

Sep 22, 2026
Valens Semiconductor and onsemi are developing an integrated sensor for 3 megapixel automotive cameras using the MIPI A-PHY connectivity standard.

Valens Semiconductor and onsemi are collaborating on a cost optimized integrated sensor for 3 megapixel automotive cameras, the companies said in a press release. The planned product will integrate a Valens MIPI A-PHY connectivity solution into onsemi image sensors.

The companies are targeting automotive cameras produced in large volumes and the market for image sensors with resolutions from 1 to 3 megapixels. They said the integration could simplify camera design and reduce the number of components required.

The product is intended to give automakers and Tier 1 suppliers another path to camera systems based on the MIPI A-PHY standard.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
