TrinaTracker Launches Robots for Solar Panel Installation and Cleaning

TrinaTracker introduced the BUILDEX installation robot and AURORA cleaning robot for solar power plants. It says BUILDEX installs up to 90 modules per hour, while AURORA plans cleaning routes autonomously.

TrinaTracker announces in a press release the launch of two robots for solar power plants: the BUILDEX PV Module Installation Robot and the AURORA PV Cleaning Robot. The company introduced the products in Changzhou, China, on September 24.

BUILDEX uses AI vision, industrial 3D cameras, mechanical controls and LiDAR sensing to pick up, transport, align and place solar modules. TrinaTracker says it installs up to 90 modules per hour, three to four times faster than manual labor, and supports landscape and portrait mounting, fixed and tracking brackets, and varied terrain.

AURORA provides automated cleaning for solar modules. It uses self correction algorithms to handle height differences of up to 50 millimeters and plans routes using plant, tracker and environmental sensor data. The robot runs on solar power and includes self cleaning functions for unattended cleaning cycles.
