Thomson Reuters has joined NetDocuments' ndConnect interoperability program, linking CoCounsel Legal with the NetDocuments platform to enable secure, integrated AI workflows for legal professionals.

Announced in a press release, Thomson Reuters has joined NetDocuments' ndConnect interoperability program. The partnership connects CoCounsel Legal, part of Thomson Reuters' AI suite, directly with the NetDocuments cloud platform to provide secure, integrated AI capabilities for legal professionals.

The integration allows shared customers to use NetDocuments' built-in AI and automation tools alongside CoCounsel Legal’s research, document analysis, and drafting functions. Users can securely share content with approved AI tools and automatically store AI-generated outputs within governed workspaces, maintaining compliance and data integrity.

NetDocuments said ndConnect enables law firms to integrate trusted AI solutions without compromising security or governance. The system ensures data remains within the firm’s environment, eliminating the need for external downloads or manual file handling.

Through this connection, attorneys can perform research using Westlaw and Practical Law, draft and analyze documents, and manage workflows with CoCounsel Legal while preserving metadata and document governance in NetDocuments. The collaboration expands the ndConnect ecosystem, which aims to support secure, connected AI experiences across the legal sector.
