Checkr Acquires Truv for Mortgage and Government Verification
Checkr has acquired Truv, a provider of consumer permissioned income, employment, and asset verification, the company announced in a press release. The deal adds Truv to Checkr's verification platform and expands its work in mortgage and government benefits eligibility checks.
Truv connects customers to payroll providers and financial institutions to verify income, employment, and assets. Checkr said Truv's network reaches 96% of the U.S. workforce and supports lenders, government agencies, and other organizations that need source data for verification.
Checkr said the acquisition strengthens its mortgage business and marks its entry into government verification. Truv already serves state agencies that administer social services programs including Medicaid and SNAP.
Checkr says it now serves more than 140,000 customers worldwide across employment, mortgage, tenant, and personal verification.
