Thomson Reuters Integrates DeepJudge into CoCounsel Legal Platform

October 24, 2025
Thomson Reuters has partnered with DeepJudge to integrate the AI startup’s knowledge platform into its CoCounsel Legal suite, allowing law firms to combine internal know-how with Thomson Reuters’ proprietary content in a unified environment.

Thomson Reuters and DeepJudge have formed a legal data partnership to integrate DeepJudge’s AI knowledge platform into CoCounsel Legal, according to Artificial Lawyer. The integration will enable legal teams to search their firm’s internal knowledge alongside Thomson Reuters’ proprietary content such as Westlaw and Practical Law within a single environment.

The collaboration provides users with a unified workspace where firm-specific documents, precedents, and internal know-how can be accessed together with authoritative legal sources. DeepJudge’s technology indexes internal systems including iManage, NetDocs, SharePoint, and HighQ, allowing CoCounsel Legal to deliver a comprehensive view of both internal and external knowledge while maintaining existing access permissions.

Initially, the integration will be available through CoCounsel Drafting, supporting lawyers as they prepare documents by surfacing relevant internal materials and verified content from Thomson Reuters. Customers will be able to subscribe to both solutions through a single contract managed by Thomson Reuters.

Both companies stated that the partnership is strategic and not a precursor to an acquisition. DeepJudge joins Thomson Reuters’ broader AI ecosystem, which includes collaborations with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft.
