TestMu AI Adds Assurance Lifecycle to Kane CLI

Sep 16, 2026
TestMu AI has added an Assurance Lifecycle to Kane CLI that turns requirement documents into tests linked to their source requirements.

TestMu AI announced in a press release (in Spanish) Assurance Lifecycle, a set of Kane CLI commands that turns requirement documents into verifiable tests. The system links tests to the requirements they validate, measures coverage using auditable evidence, and updates the test suite when source documents change.

The process ingests documents, extracts use cases with source citations, and presents proposals for human review. It then creates acceptance criteria, scenarios, and tests before running them and measuring coverage. Each stage uses a separate command and requires confirmation before proceeding.

Assurance Lifecycle stores its records locally in the project directory with a reproducible history and additive operations. It can run in continuous integration workflows or through AI agents. Maintenance commands mark items derived from earlier requirement versions as obsolete.

The feature is available in Kane CLI 0.6.1 and later through npm or Homebrew. Extraction, design, and maintenance use KaneAI agent credits, while review, coverage, and storage operations run locally at no charge.
