SWI Stoneweg Icona Group Acquires Majority Stake in Polarise to Build European AI Infrastructure Platform

SWI Stoneweg Icona Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Polarise, a German NVIDIA Cloud Partner, to expand its AI infrastructure capabilities. The deal includes a €1 billion investment to develop GPU- and AI-as-a-Service offerings across Europe.

Euronext Amsterdam-listed SWI Stoneweg Icona Group has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Polarise GmbH, a leading European NVIDIA Cloud Partner, announced in a press release. The transaction includes a €100 million equity investment and marks SWI’s expansion into AI compute through GPU-as-a-Service and AI-as-a-Service capabilities.

Based in Germany, Polarise provides high-performance computing infrastructure and recently launched industrial-scale AI factories in partnership with Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA. The company’s valuation will reach €500 million following the completion of the investment.

SWI will commit an additional €1 billion to support Polarise’s digital infrastructure strategy and expand its AiOnX platform, which has 2.3 GW of data center capacity across Europe. The funding will enable new site developments and accelerate the rollout of AI compute capacity across the continent.

The partnership aims to build an integrated European AI infrastructure platform combining power, compute, and delivery capabilities through the collaboration of SWI Group, AiOnX, and Polarise.
