Stellantis and Microsoft have entered a five-year strategic collaboration to advance Stellantis’ digital transformation through artificial intelligence and cloud technologies, announced in a press release.

The companies will co-develop more than 100 AI initiatives focused on customer care, product development, and operations. These include AI-powered product validation, predictive maintenance, and faster deployment of digital features. Stellantis aims to use AI-driven insights to improve vehicle performance and customer experience across its brands.

As part of the collaboration, Stellantis will establish an AI-driven global cyber defense center to enhance protection across connected vehicles, manufacturing, and IT systems. The center will use AI analytics to detect and respond to cyberthreats more efficiently.

The automaker is also modernizing its digital infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, targeting a 60% reduction in datacenter footprint by 2029. This cloud migration is expected to improve scalability and reliability for connected services worldwide. Additionally, Stellantis will equip its global workforce with Microsoft 365 Copilot tools, with an initial rollout of 20,000 licenses to support productivity and collaboration.
