SpendHQ Acquires Sligo AI to Expand Agentic AI in Enterprise Procurement

April 06, 2026
SpendHQ has acquired Sligo AI to integrate agentic AI into its enterprise procurement platform, combining structured spend data with secure AI deployment infrastructure.

SpendHQ has acquired Sligo AI, integrating its agentic AI infrastructure into SpendHQ’s enterprise procurement platform, announced in a press release. The deal combines SpendHQ’s structured spend intelligence data with Sligo AI’s deployment capabilities to enable AI systems that can execute procurement workflows, not just generate insights.

According to SpendHQ, the integration allows enterprises to deploy configurable AI agents within their own cloud environments, through managed infrastructure, or via APIs embedded in existing systems. The combined platform connects to tools such as ERP and contract management systems to automate tasks like supplier evaluations and sourcing strategies.

As part of the acquisition, Sligo AI founder and CEO Matt McCarrick becomes chief AI officer at SpendHQ, continuing to lead the Sligo AI platform and services, now offered as SpendHQ Solutions. The Sligo AI team joins SpendHQ to build and deploy custom agentic solutions for large enterprises with complex regulatory and technical requirements.

SpendHQ stated that the acquisition follows its initial investment in Sligo AI in August 2025 and that the combined platform is now available to customers seeking to integrate agentic AI into procurement operations.
