Pixelgen Raises $15.5 Million for Proxiome Kit Expansion
Pixelgen Technologies announced in a press release that it closed an oversubscribed $15.5 million Series B round to expand commercialization of its Proxiome Kit and grow in key markets. New investor Flat Capital led the round, with continued participation from Industrifonden and Navigare Ventures.
The Proxiome Kit maps molecular cell architecture at nanoscale resolution. It analyzes how proteins are organized, clustered, and localized on the surface of individual cells, rather than only measuring protein abundance.
Pixelgen said the financing will support global commercialization, hiring, and expansion of its product portfolio. The company is also adding Flat Capital CEO Rickard El Tarzi and Ramon Felciano, founder of Ingenuity Systems, to its board.
Felciano later worked at QIAGEN, where he helped form QIAGEN Digital Insights, a molecular data and AI software unit. At Pixelgen, he will work with leadership on software and data capabilities for the company’s molecular cell architecture platform.
