Silex Technology Launches EP-200N Edge AI Module for Industrial and Medical Devices
Silex Technology has announced in a press release the EP-200N, an edge AI system on module for industrial and medical devices. The module uses the i.MX 95 applications processor from NXP Semiconductors.
The EP-200N has a six core Arm Cortex-A55 architecture, an integrated GPU, VPU and ISP, and an 8 eTOPS neural processing unit. It includes 8 GB LPDDR5 memory, 32 GB eMMC storage, Ethernet, CAN-FD, PCIe Gen3, multimedia interfaces and other peripheral interfaces.
The module supports operation from minus 40°C to plus 85°C. Its Yocto Linux board support package includes a Wi-Fi 6E embedded wireless driver based on NXP Wi-Fi solutions, and it can be combined with Silex's SX-SDMAX6E Wi-Fi 6E module.
Silex lists target uses including industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, medical imaging, portable medical devices, intelligent gateways and human machine interfaces. Evaluation kits are scheduled for September 2026, with early access through the EP-200N-EVK Early Access Program, and Silex plans to show the module at Embedded World North America 2026 from September 22 to 24 in Anaheim, California.
