Secafy Licenses Menta's eFPGA IP for Secure Chiplet Designs
Secafy Co, Ltd. has licensed Menta SAS's embedded FPGA (eFPGA) IP to integrate into its upcoming chiplet-based products, announced in a press release. This strategic move aims to bolster Secafy's development of secure and adaptable semiconductor solutions for next-generation applications.
The chiplet architecture, known for its modular and scalable nature, is gaining traction as an alternative to traditional monolithic systems-on-chip (SoCs). By leveraging Menta's eFPGA IP, Secafy aims to introduce post-silicon flexibility, hardware-level security features, and updatable logic blocks. These enhancements are crucial for rapidly evolving markets such as secure communications, AI, and edge computing.
Kazuki Monta, CEO of Secafy, highlighted the importance of dynamic security in increasingly complex systems. The licensing of Menta's eFPGA IP allows Secafy to adapt its silicon in real-time, whether updating cryptographic functions, isolating threats, or optimizing workloads. This agreement marks a significant step in Secafy's strategy to deliver adaptable and resilient silicon solutions.
