Schermer, a veteran data architect with over 25 years of experience, will guide the strategic growth of SDI's Data & AI practice. His role will involve overseeing complex Data & AI engagements, aligning data initiatives with organizational outcomes, and ensuring the responsible use of modern technologies.

Schermer's expertise spans enterprise data architecture, analytics platform development, and AI enablement. He has held leadership roles at RSM US, Virtuous Software, and American Express, and is certified in Snowflake. His work will cover industries such as public safety, aviation, transportation, and utilities, focusing on data governance, cloud modernization, and AI readiness.

Rusty Putzler, SDI CTO and COO, emphasized that Schermer's appointment strengthens SDI's position as a trusted partner for organizations navigating AI and data transformation.
