SanLuca has partnered with Sutter Health to integrate cognitive behavioral therapy into hypertension care, announced in a press release. The collaboration embeds SanLuca’s AI virtual care navigator into Sutter’s Sutter Sync program, a digital care platform for patients managing chronic conditions at home.

Through this partnership, patients can access education and evidence-based assessments that identify behavioral health needs using validated measures such as GAD and PHQ. Those showing symptoms of anxiety or depression receive structured courses of AI-led cognitive behavioral therapy, supported by continuous safety monitoring.

SanLuca’s AI virtual agents are monitored by human clinicians around the clock and are connected with Sutter’s on-call operations to enable immediate escalation when needed. The program also studies how improvements in behavioral health correlate with better hypertension outcomes, supporting a more integrated model of chronic disease care.
