Rural Nebraska Generative AI Use Reaches 55%

Nov 2, 2026
The 2026 Nebraska Rural Poll found that 55% of rural residents had used generative AI tools, up from 27% in 2024.

The share of rural Nebraskans who have used generative AI tools rose from 27% in 2024 to 55% in 2026, according to Nebraska Public Media. The findings come from the Nebraska Rural Poll, run by University of Nebraska-Lincoln programs Nebraska Extension and Rural Prosperity Nebraska.

Use varied by age. About 75% of respondents ages 19 to 39 had used AI tools, compared with 51% of those ages 50 to 64. Women were more likely than men to use AI chatbots, although the report did not provide the size of the difference.

Privacy was the leading concern, with 45% of respondents interested in learning how to protect their information when using AI. Slightly more than one third wanted to learn how to evaluate the accuracy of AI responses. The poll received 881 responses from 86 Nebraska counties after questionnaires were mailed to nearly 6,900 households in April and May 2026.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
