Robo.ai to Acquire Neurovia for $100 Million to Build Physical AI Data Infrastructure
Robo.ai has agreed to acquire 100 percent of Neurovia, a company specializing in data processing and compression, for $100 million in stock according to a press release. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
The acquisition is intended to accelerate Robo.ai’s development of infrastructure for physical artificial intelligence. Following completion, Robo.ai plans to upgrade its operations from video codec services to a global AI video data platform that supports applications such as robotaxis, autonomous vehicles, drones, humanoid robots, and smart city systems.
All shares issued to Neurovia shareholders will be locked for three years, followed by gradual vesting over five years. Robo.ai stated that this structure secures long-term alignment between both companies while maintaining liquidity for research, development, and expansion.
The company said it will continue focusing on integrating AI hardware, video data, edge computing, and blockchain to build a machine economy ecosystem. It is expanding its presence in the Middle East and Asia, targeting opportunities in sovereign AI infrastructure and autonomous systems.
