Rescale Gets DOE Funding for Agentic AI Simulation Project

Rescale said in a press release it received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy under the Genesis Mission for the Agentic HPC Pipeline Initiative. The project includes Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

The initiative will use agentic AI on Rescale's platform to help U.S. companies work with national laboratory simulation codes. The codes include WarpX from Lawrence Berkeley, LiDO from Lawrence Livermore, and Adamantine from Oak Ridge.

Rescale said the system will guide engineers through code selection, input setup, simulation monitoring, and results analysis. The project aims to cut the expertise and time needed to run these simulations by more than fivefold.

The funding is part of the Genesis Mission, a DOE program created by executive order in November 2025. DOE launched a $293 million first funding round earlier this year for national science and technology projects.
