Rebellions, SK Telecom, and Arm Collaborate on Sovereign AI Infrastructure
South Korean AI chipmaker Rebellions has announced a collaboration with SK Telecom and Arm Holdings Plc to develop AI inference infrastructure for sovereign AI and telecommunications data centers, announced in a press release.
The partnership combines Arm’s AGI CPU, the company’s first data center processor, with Rebellions’ RebelCard AI accelerator. The integrated system is designed for high-performance AI inference with improved energy efficiency compared to GPU-based servers, supporting air-cooled operation for telecom and data center environments.
The companies plan to validate the system within SK Telecom’s AI data center, testing performance and stability for sovereign AI models and large-scale telecom workloads. They also intend to evaluate SK Telecom’s proprietary foundation model, A.X K1, on the new servers.
Following validation, the partners will explore broader commercial deployment opportunities, focusing on providing optimized and stable AI infrastructure solutions for global telecommunications providers and public sector clients seeking independent AI systems.
