Raytron Technology Co., Ltd. has launched an AI-based wildfire prevention system that integrates infrared thermal imaging with intelligent early-warning algorithms, announced in a press release. This system operates 24/7, identifying heat buildup phases and issuing alerts before visible flames appear, thus helping to prevent wildfires by detecting early heat signatures.

The system features a 1280×1024 high-resolution thermal detector, offering four times the field of view of conventional models, enabling wide-area surveillance across large forests and grasslands. It identifies subtle heat changes with as little as 1.5 pixels of thermal data and automatically re-centers on hotspots, detecting early-stage fires before any smoke or flame appears.

Raytron's solution also includes a multi-layered array of satellite imagery, UAV-mounted thermal sensors, and ground-based panoramic radar for faster detection and accurate fire path forecasting. The integration of high-precision GIS data, device coordinates, and local topography, enhanced by error correction algorithms, achieves up to 100 meters accuracy under optimal conditions, aiding in rapid response and damage reduction.

To reduce false alarms, the system applies motion-based filtering to discard transient sources like vehicles and machinery. It uses infrared vehicle recognition, visible-light smoke detection, and fire-behavior tracking, with a rule-based AI engine assessing these inputs to escalate true alerts while suppressing benign signals.
