XPRIZE Awards $4.55 Million for Wildfire Detection and Response Systems
XPRIZE said in a press release that it awarded $4.55 million to teams in its $11 million Wildfire competition. The awards were presented on September 23 at the New York City Fire Museum.
The space based detection track distributed $1.05 million among five teams. SIRIUS Wildfire Alliance received $500,000, Team Snuffed received $250,000, and MyRadar, DeepFire, and Mayday.AI each received $100,000.
The autonomous response track awarded $3.5 million following tests in Alaska. Anduril Industries received $1.2 million for first place and a $1 million detection intelligence bonus from Lockheed Martin. Dryad Networks received $800,000 for second place, while AURA Foresight received $500,000 for third place.
The competition will now enter an Impact Phase lasting 12 to 15 months, focused on preparing the systems for wildfire management deployments.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
